1. The assistance provider:
    1. The assistance provider, herein after Niels Verster, is a natural person that offers informal advice to those that apply for it where possible. As such, Niels Verster may be referred to as consultant, counsellor, advisor, assistant, aid, or in any other way, but ultimately remains a natural person. Niels Verster or this project itself is not a company and it does not provide formal, legally binding, commercial services.
  2. Suitable recipients of assistance:
    1. Assistance will only be given to natural (as opposed to legal) persons, emphasising the informal and interpersonal nature of the assistance on offer. Niels Verster is never responsible nor liable for subsequent actions taken by a natural person or a natural person acting in the capacity of a legal person.
    2. As a recipient of assistance, being referred to as “client” must never be interpreted as meaning that you are a (paying) customer receiving a formal, official, legally-binding, or commercial service, nor does the term “client” confer any rights to the person receiving assistance.
  3. The assistance:
    1. Assistance offered through or outside of this platform by Niels Verster may be referred to as help, advice, a service, a consult, or any other way, but any such term is ultimately to be understood as informal assistance and nothing more.
    2. Assistance is always and exclusively given on an informal basis. This is evident from the assistance being offered on a voluntary basis, with no payment or reimbursement requirements. Reimbursement for time spent on giving advice can be given in the form of a tip, gift, or donation, but doing so is never required or mandatory. Similarly, leaving a review is appreciated, but not required. There is no exchange taking place, only informal assistance may be provided for by Niels Verster.
    3. Natural persons are free to make use of given advice any they see fit, but Niels Verster will never be held accountable for any outcome, nor be liable for any resulting financial damages or other forms of damages. Therefore, anyone who receives advice is to consider that it is advice given by a student and not a registered lawyer or attorney. Any advice given should be considered as a preliminary step rather than a final solution. Subsequent review by a professional or formal consultation is strongly encouraged.
    4. Niels Verster is never, under any circumstances, legally obliged to offer assistance (even if agreement to do so has been reached).
    5. As any assistance received under this project is entirely informal in nature, there shall be no right to reimbursement (as there is no payment), nor shall there be a legally binding time frame in which assistance must be offered or received. Both the recipient of advice, as well as Niels Verster, are free, at any time, to stop communication or cooperation in this informal relationship.
  4. Good faith:
    1. These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in good faith.
    2. Both the offering and receiving of assistance, through or outside of this project, shall be in good faith.
